Benefits of LED Lights
The customer wanted to include an LED lighting plan for their newly renovated kitchen. Often times, people desire LED lighting after a renovation, but we want you to know you do not need a brand new kitchen in order to get new lighting. In fact, different lighting can dramatically change the way your kitchen looks and feels.
We offered an LED lighting plan optimizing Task, Ambient, and Accent illumination zones. Using LED fixtures, we decreased the use of electricity by 80%. The key to good lighting in a kitchen is to feature the new cabinets, countertops and backsplash while creating great task lighting. The work turned out great.
Installing LED Lights
We placed the recessed cans strategically to illuminate both the walking space and the countertops equally, but making sure to minimize shadows over task areas. The use of 3000K color lighting made the black and white granite pop! We installed LED tape lighting inside the cabinets and under the cabinets. All of the lights dim, allowing them to be as bright or dim as desired.
This job took 3 days to complete. The clients were very helpful throughout the process. They offered great design ideas. They loved the look and how well the lighting showed off their new granite countertops. Their kitchen is different because it uses black and white instead of more traditional Earth tones. We gave the homeowner extra LED light-tape to install in the back of his truck bed.
