Electrical Helpers are vital to the success of our teams. They are responsible for electrical installations, troubleshooting and maintenance through well-versed knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC), site prep/cleanup, record keeping, and assisting the Lead. Our job site professionals thrive under self-directed management to complete projects safely and on time. All job site employees participate and drive safety initiatives such as tool-box talks and operational risk management meetings to proactively identify safe practices for our people. Our crews rely on teamwork to drive results through strategic use of partnerships and planning. The Electrician's Helper will be working under the direct supervision of a licensed Journeyman or Electrician. The Helper will also assist in the installations, alterations, additions and / or repair of electrical systems, conductors and associated materials and equipment within the commercial electrical industry. Once an application is submitted, it is reviewed. If the candidate appears to fit our needs, they will receive a phone call interview. The next step is an in-person interview at our Peachtree City location. If the candidate appears to be a match for Powerworks Electric in skills, culture, and experience, a paid working interview (3 days) will be scheduled.
Job requirements
- Excellent electrical troubleshooting and installation skills. A proven history of quality installation with at least one (1) years' experience as a residential electrician’s helper (renovations, remodeling, new construction, service, etc.).
- Have a desire to become a licensed electrician and willingness to study for exams. We can help you!
- A good driving record.
- Able to pass a background check and regular drug screening.
- Own a complete set of personal hand tools (pliers, testers, screwdrivers, cordless drill, etc.).
- Experience with an smart phone/tablet or similar device is helpful.
- Command of the English language and excellent communication skills.
- Enjoy people and electrical work.
- Willingness to learn and be teachable.
- Excellent professional & personal references.
- Live within a 20 mile radius of the PTC/Fyvlle/Nwn area.
- Must have common understanding of local codes as well as NEC and IRC requirements
